Code 10 allows you to drive any vehicle up to 16 000kg, with a trailer of up 750 Kg. This Licence also allows you to drive code 8 vehicles. A learner’s license is required to take the test.

K53 Theory: We delve into the theory behind the heavy vehicle license test, covering essential topics such as checks, rules, procedures, signals, and markings. You will gain a thorough understanding of the regulations and requirements that govern driving heavy vehicles, ensuring you are well-prepared for the written portion of the test.
Vehicle Controls: We focus on teaching you how to effectively utilize and adjust the various functions and features of a heavy motor vehicle (HMV) for safe driving in diverse conditions. From headlights and gears to windscreen wipers, emergency lights, rear-view mirrors, and more, you will become proficient in operating and managing these vital components.
Pre-Trip Inspection: Our training includes structured steps that demonstrate the roadworthiness of your heavy vehicle to the examiner. You will learn how to conduct a thorough pre-trip inspection, ensuring that your vehicle is in optimal condition before hitting the road. This step showcases your understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.
Road Test: The practical road test evaluates your driving skills in real-world scenarios. Our instructors will prepare you for this 20-40 minute test, ensuring you can navigate South African roads with confidence, adhering to traffic laws and prioritizing safety.
Yard Test: The yard test focuses on assessing your vehicle handling and parking skills. It takes place at the test station and lasts approximately 20 minutes. During this evaluation, you will demonstrate emergency braking techniques, starting on an incline, and other critical maneuvers.
