Getting Your Learner's Licence
To schedule your test, you can visit any licensing department in South Africa. Remember to complete the blue LL1 form before booking your test date. Once you have secured a date, reach out to us to reserve your spot in our learners course.
Here's what you'll need when booking your learners' licence:

Minimum age requirement
To book for a light motor vehicle learners licence, you must be at least 17 years old, while for a heavy motor vehicle learners licence, the minimum age is 18.

Eye test certificate
Obtain an eye test certificate from your optometrist, as it will save you time at the testing station, bypassing an eyetest queue.

Identification documents
Bring your original South African identity book, a valid temporary ID, or a valid passport. Also, carry a copy of your ID for submission.

Photographs
Take a set of four ID photographs. You will utilize two of them when applying for your learners and two for driver’s licence.

Booking fees
Prepare a card payment of R 108 as a learner’s booking fee and R 60 issuing fee.
